Enjoy amazing geology and biodiversity on the top of the Madonie Mountains
This hike to Pizzo Carbonara (1979 m), the highest peak of the Madonie Park, will bring you to an area exceptionally rich regarding geology and biodiversity. You will walk through surprising landscapes shaped by the action of water on the limestone rock, surrounded by sea fossils hidden in the stones, rare plants and butterflies. Our nature guide will make you discover fascinating details that will allow you to understand the uniqueness of the place and feel all its magic.
When you reach Pizzo Carbonara, you will be rewarded with a fantastic 360 degrees panoramic view. On clear days, you will be able to see all the Tyrrhenian coast as far as Palermo and good part of Sicily’s hinterland.

Meet your guide in Piano Battglia (Province of Palermo) at 9.30 am.
You will be provided with a map indicating the meeting point when you book.
You will then reach the starting point of the trail with the guide with our own vehicle.
